Ready to take control of your wellbeing?

I specialise in helping sensitive people to overcome the effects of trauma, chronic stress and anxiety.

Maybe you’re struggling with anxiety, low self-esteem, a fear or a phobia, or feeling burnt out from stress. Perhaps you have had difficult experiences in your life and it feels impossible to move on. You may have tried talking therapy and felt it didn’t work for you. If any of these apply to you, I’m glad that you’re here reading this.

I work as an integrative psychotherapist, which means that I use techniques from several types of therapy. These include Jungian art psychotherapy, IFS (Internal Family Systems, or parts work), EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques, sometimes called EFT Tapping), mindfulness, attachment theory, and somatics.

In addition to talk therapy, I offer creative and somatic tools such as tapping, making artwork, visualisation, and meditation. Each person’s process is unique; we will discuss your needs at your first session and create a treatment plan which works for you, which we will regularly review.

I am trauma-trained and always encourage you to move at a pace which suits you. Many of my clients identify as neurodivergent, and I welcome any adjustments you need to feel comfortable.

I offer short-term and long-term work, both online via Zoom and in-person in West Yorkshire. My standard session fee is £70 per hour.

EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) helps us to heal from trauma, stress and anxiety by tapping on certain points of the body and saying certain phrases as we recall difficult memories, feelings or sensations. This helps to neutralise the body’s stress response, which may feel ‘stuck’, and can break connections between triggers and reactions.

I continue to be amazed by how quickly my clients often see shifts, even in just one session.

EFT is a safe and effective way to work through trauma without becoming overwhelmed - you don’t even have to tell me out loud what you are working on. You do the tapping, so no physical touch is needed. It can also be used to heal self-limiting beliefs, mood disturbances, phobias, anxiety and even physical pain.

We can use purely EFT in our sessions or a combination of approaches which work for you.

Do you ever feel that a part of you wants to do one thing, but another part wants you to do another?

IFS (Internal Family Systems) is a model of therapy which sees our internal world as made up of a system of parts. As we identify these parts, we can start to get to know, befriend and heal them, leading to more inner harmony. But who gets to know these parts?

IFS says that we all have a Self at our core. Self energy is creative, compassionate, curious, courageous, confident, clear, calm and connected. Our Self lies beneath our parts and is always there, even if it can feel tricky to access at times because parts are blocking the way.

Parts are grouped into three main categories: exiles, managers and firefighters. Exiles are our most vulnerable parts, who are often very young. In order to avoid feeling their unbearable feelings, we have locked them away. Managers develop to protect these parts with proactive strategies. Firefighters develop to make sure we don’t feel our exiles’ feelings with reactive responses.

In IFS therapy, I will guide you to access your Self energy, get to know your parts and heal any parts which are wounded. We usually do this through guided visualisation, but can also do this using artwork or objects to externalise your parts.
